Harley-Davidson Issues Recall on Dyna Motorcycles Harley-Davidson Inc. has recalled some 13,400 2006 Dyna series motorcycles built between June 9 and Oct. 19. The transmission could go into a false neutral position even though the indicator light shows that it is in neutral properly. There is a a design flaw in the six-speed transmission that allows this to happen. The six-speed replaced the five-speed model for a smoother ride and better fuel economy. There have been two accidents due to the defect, but no injuries reported. Harley-Davidson had announced a target of 329,000 motorcycles sold for 2005 and will meet that goal regardless of the recall. Source: www.msnbc.msn.com
